Opto-Electronics
Our Opto-Electronics division specializes in glass-to-metal feed-thru seals that are critical for the function of various optic applications. These kinds of seals are hermetic, which is essential for operating various lasers, optics, and lenses. This Includes ultraviolet (UV), solar energy conversion, and infrared (IR) optics.
Kovar, the most ideal metal for glass-to-metal seals, is an alloy made of 53% Iron, 29% Nickel, and 17% Cobalt and shares the same coefficient of expansion with borosilicate glass. We also have the capability of working with Platinum, Zine Sulfide (ZnS) and Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) when creating glass-to-metal seals.
In addition to borosilicate glass, we also work with sapphire lenses, which are harder and clearer than borosilicate glass.
Our Opto-Elecronic components are used with different lasers, including: Helium Neon Lasers, Helium Cadmium Lasers, and Carbon Dioxide Lasers.
These products are all custom made according to the needs of our customers unique systems. Our engineers work directly with you to ensure the final product meets the exact specifications of your system.
